Recreational Boys and Girls from Deal Gymnastic Club recently competed at the Dover Open Floor & Vault Gymnastics competition with very good results.

The event commenced with the Novice section and two Gold medals for Deal.  Lauren Bird won the Gold Medal in the 7 year age group and Jade Cunningham won Gold in the girls’ age 10 years group.  
The boys’ first result of the day was also a Gold medal won by Rory Parker-Gorman for boys’ age 8 years.  Team-mates Christopher Gray and Lewis Rembridge finished in Silver and Bronze position respectively in the same competition.  The boys won a second Silver Medal in the 9-10 age group secured by Oliver Hope and a Bronze medal followed for Rosie Trent in the girls’ age 8 year group with Chloe Bell taking bronze in the 14-15 year age group.

The Intermediate competitions were the second event of the day.  Rachel Laker took Deal’s first Gold medal in the age 8-9 competition and Arran Hope took Silver for the boys in the age 10 category.   Sophie Licence secured Deal’s second Silver medal at this level for girls aged 12 years.  

The last competition was for Advanced gymnasts.  Deal’s Kyra Knight won Gold in the age 9-10 group with Cherie Pointer finishing in Bronze medal position in the 12 year age group.
