Louise's Page

In 1999 Louise had her very first competition, at which she came 2nd. The following year Louise won Deal's invitational competition for level 5 and came 13th at the Regional championships for level 4. She was also selected for Kent's county squad. Louise's results at these competitions were very good as she had only been doing gymnastics for just over a year.

Louise progressed quickly and the following year was competing at level 3 starting with the Pegasus Open where she came 3rd. She then went on to finish 2nd at the county championships

At the beginning of 2002, Louise now aged 9, competed in her first elite grade. This was a harder and more challenging option to the normal club grades in which she could have competed. At this grade she came 5th regionally and narrowly missed out on qualifying for the National Finals. At the Regional championships Louise came 3rd and earned her place on the South East Regional team for National finals. Later in the year Louise gained herself a county title, winning the level 2 championships.

During 2003 Louise represented Kent at the Rushmoor Rosebowl and also won another county title.

At her first competition of 2004, the Regional Grades, Louise came 2nd despite suffering  a couple of falls on the beam. She was again selected to represent Kent at the Rushmoor Rosebowl and won the Kent county championships. Also in this year, Louise competed at this British Challenge Cup where she came 2nd on the bars.

In 2005 Louise was now competing at the the highest levels she could be for her age. She won the floor and vault title, being the youngest in her group and was also crowned with her first regional title.  Louise very narrowly missed out on a county title, coming 2nd.

Louise competed well during 2006, winning a silver medal at both the County and Regional Championships. She also gained a place in the South East team for the grades National finals, as well as competiting at both the Rushmoor Rosebowl and the British Challenge Cup.

During 2007 Louise finished 9th overall and 5th on bars at the British Challenge Cup. She also came 2nd at the regional championships and challenge cup regional grades. She  gained the county title at the 2x2 elite competition with her team mate Freya.

Louise's first competition for 2008 was Deal's 3-way training competition and she won a bronze medal. Next was the Kent Artistic Twin Piece competition where she gained a Senior Challenge silver medal with team mate Freya. Louise competed in the Regional championships and she did extremely well, finishing second in the Senior Challenge. Louise also went on to win a medal representing Kent at the Rushmoor Rosebowl, compete at the Challenge and take the Kent County Senior Challenge title

Good luck for 2009 Louise
