NPD National Finals

At the NDP National Finals held at Fenton Manor Sports Complex, the weekend saw ten Regions and three Home Countries; 116 Gymnastics Clubs; with 396 Acrobatic gymnasts, and 293 tumblers all aiming to secure a medal. And gymnasts Katy Morris and Ashleigh Heath, from Deal Gymnastics Club representing the South East Region, successfully secured a well-deserved bronze medal in Grade 4
Women's pairs. With clean balance and dynamic routines, the pair was only 0.9 behind silver medal position. Within the club Katy and Ashleigh are the first to secure a medal in an Acrobatic National Final and Grade 4 is the highest grade that is competed at the NDP National Finals.
In addition to competing as a Women's Grade 4 pair, Katy and Ashleigh also competed in Elite tumbling grades for the South East Region. Katy, competing in Elite 3 Women's Tumbling age 15+ years, secured a fourth place; whilst Ashleigh secured 20thplace in Elite 2 Women's Tumbling 10-12 years.
