Kent Floor and Vault

Deal's Gymnastics Club's recreational gymnasts were in action, along with over 300 participants, at the Kent Floor and Vault Championships.
Held at the Swallows Leisure Centre in Sittingbourne, this annual competition brought medal success for 12 year old Emma Mills.
Competing for the first time at 'Advance Bronze Level 13 years', Emma secured a bronze medal, with her floor score being the second highest in her category
In 'Advance Bronze 14+ years', Sophie Licence came 4th, Abbie Croucher 5th, Sophie Waller 7th and Cherie Pointer 9th.
All of the Deal gymnasts competing at Advance Bronze level performed a floor routine with 10 elements to music, on a full sized floor and a vault over a vaulting table - most opting for a handspring vault.

Also competing were Rory Parker-Gorman and Chris Gray in the Novice Boys 9-10 years category. Rory finished in 5th place and Chris joint 6th place.
In the novice category the Rory and Chris each had a routine of ten elements conducted in a line, and both boys competed a squat through vault, over a vaulting horse.
