Deal Invitational
Deal Gymnastics Club held their 12th annual Invitational Competition in September, with entries of almost 80 gymnasts, some from as far afield as Sussex.
For six members of the Artistic squad, competing at level 6, it was their first ever competition.
Grace Eggleston won a bronze medal and gained the top bar score, and Rachel Knight, who had the third highest score on floor ,was in the line-up too in fifth position. Also competing were Hannah Scrivens, who received the second highest bar score, Hollie Bowen, Poppy Joannides and Georgia Reynolds.
Hollie Buttifint, Natalia Squire and Katie Roy were next up, taking part in the level 5 competition, which for both Natalia and Katie was their first time at this level. All three scored well on bars and floor.
Level 4 was the final round of the day and Morgan Williams won a silver medal in the 'In-Age' category, receiving the second highest scores on vault, bars and beam. Competing in the 10/11 year old group and gaining the third best score on bars, Leanne Conway narrowly missed out on the line-up finishing in seventh position.
