Spelthorne Elite Acrobatics Invitational

Deal Gymnastics Acro squad was back in action competing in Middlesex at the Spelthorne Elite Acrobatics Invitational Competition.

The whole event was organised by Adam McAssey, Bronze Medalist in the 2008 World Acrobatic Gymnastic Championship. More than 200 gymnasts from clubs all over the country competed, with levels from Prep A to 11-16 Age Groups. Within the participants were 2009 European Champions Age Group 11-16 mixed pair, Christopher Longley and Alice Upcott, who competed their European Gold Medal winning routines.

The squad members did well and obtained the following medal positions on the day; Grade 3 Women's Pair Katy Morris and Ashleigh Heath - silver

Grade 3 Women's Trio Lucy Merritt, Katy Morris and Ashleigh Heath - silver

Grade 3 Women's pairs Lucy Merritt and Rachel Laker - 4^th

Grade 2 Women's pairs Jade Cunningham and Amy Mumby - 4^th which was a very credible result as this was their first competition together

Grade 1 Women's pairs Bethany Gray and Lauren Bird - 8^th

and Natasha Potter and Jessica Laker came 12^th
